The information above was taken from the inscription in Pengukur-Ukuran temple that located in banjar Samegunung, Pejeng village, Tampaksiring, Gianyar Bali. This inscription was become very important because it indicating that all of ancient heritage inside the temple area was came from the era of king Jayapangus (12th centuries). One of these ancient heritages is Goa Garba (Garba Cave).
Goa Garba (Garba Cave) lies below the great Pengukur-Ukuran temple. Goa Garba is a cavity of meditation that carved in wall of cliff at the edge of Pakerisan, the legendary River. To access this ancient site, first we have to climb down the stairs of its gate that made from arranged stones. Above the cave there are some of holy ponds, and beside one of these ponds there is an access to go into a secret chamber. Right above the cavity there is an ancient inscription, said “Sra†which has not been translated until today.
